Business Management Team Underline

Gary Tie-Shue, Director of Business Development for the High Performance Database Research Center, completed his BS in Accounting and Management from Tulane University and his JD from the University of Miami. Mr. Tie-Shue is a Certified Public Accountant formerly associated with Arthur Andersen LLP and a member of the Florida Bar. He most recently served as the Director of Business Development for an Internet company focused on developing custom search technologies.

John Ciampa, Director of Promotion, has a JD degree from Cornell University, where he was Chairman of the Graduate Roundtable. Mr. Ciampa was the Founder, President, and CEO of Pictometry International LLC, the Founder and President of International Media Consortium, the Founder and Director of Electronic Property Information Corporation, and the Founder and Director of the American Video Institute. He has published two patents on Landisc Systems and Pictometry, as well as several articles on Visual Communication.

Scott Graham, Director of Government Relations, received his MS in Computer Science from FIU in 1992 (ABD PhD). Mr. Graham has co-authored six papers on parallel processing, database management, and database applications. He oversees the preparation of grant proposals and reports regarding HPDRC's seventeen million dollars of government funding.

Bernard Parenteau, Operations Lead, holds PhD and MS degrees in Computer Science from FIU and was General Manager of HPDRC from 1995 to 1996. Dr. Parenteau also holds an MA in Economics from FIU (ABD Ph.D.), where he taught the subject from 1992 to 1995. In addition, he holds an MBA with a concentration in International Business from the University of Florida. He has 25 years of software development experience and 20 years of experience managing software companies, including Palm Computers. He currently manages software development offices in South Florida and Trinidad.

Eugenio Osorio, Director of Latin American Marketing, obtained a BA in International Commerce and Political Science from Hawaii International University in 1994. Mr. Osorio has over 20 years of experience in computer hardware and software sales. He restructured CHS Promark's commercial team, generating revenues of 216 million dollars, and executed due diligence for new mergers and acquisitions of CHS electronics in Brazil and Argentina. Mr. Osorio has started, implemented, and managed computer consumer stores in Venezuela and Spain.

Manish Jain, Technology Transfer Assistant, has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Economics from Devi Ahilya University, India. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration with concentration in Management of Information Systems at Florida International University. He assists in the business development and technology transfer initiatives.
